Labels & Stickers Application & Care: Do’s and Don’ts

Below is a concise summary of key guidelines for the correct application and care of our labels and stickers, ensuring their long-lasting durability and aesthetic appeal.

✅ DO’s:

1. Surface Preparation:

  • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth.
  • Apply labels to smooth, non-porous surfaces such as glass, plastic, coated metal, or lacquered wood.
  • Before application, wipe the surface with a lightly water-dampened, soft cloth (do not use detergents).
  • Thoroughly dry the surface before applying the label.

2. Label Application:

  • Grip the edge of the label and slowly lift it from the backing paper, avoiding contact with the adhesive.
  • Position one side of the label first, then gently press down with a soft cloth or squeegee.
  • Push out any air bubbles during application.

3. Care & Cleaning:

  • Wipe labelled surfaces only with a lightly water-dampened, soft cloth.
  • Apply minimal pressure when wiping.
  • Pat dry with a paper towel or allow to air-dry.

❌ DON’Ts:

1. Surface Preparation & Application:

  • DO NOT apply to textured, oily, or damp areas.
  • DO NOT use detergents when cleaning the surface before application.
  • Do not use alcohol, solvents, or strong cleaning agents on the surface, as they can damage the ink.
  • For the first 24 hours after application, DO NOT wet, rub, or press hard on the label, to allow the adhesive to fully bond.

2. Care & Cleaning:

  • Never use chemical cleaners on labelled surfaces.
  • Avoid scrubbing the labelled surface.
  • DO NOT put labelled items in the dishwasher.
  • Do not use alcohol, bleach, solvents, or harsh chemicals on labelled surfaces.
  • Avoid exposure to excessive moisture or oils, as these may cause peeling or ink smudging.
